for who would read such a thing.

The planets have spoken,

and Pluto does not exist anymore.

It’s status and respect exist no more,

removed forever from the celestial world.

What would be the point of creating

words for someone who cannot

read or appreciate the creation?

it bites at your senses,
raping with precision,
your touch,
your smell,
your taste.
It hurts even to hear
and your eyes can’t bear
to open,
to look,
to see,
the frozen wasteland
that lies ahead.
It is,
your deathbed;
no life,
not even yours will
be found here.
This is
your end.
Rage will
get you absolutely
nothing and tears
will freeze
on contact.
Hope is
lost.

Enamored with “hate” -

(believing it’s love’s mirror)

Not caring at all -

(Inspiring introspection)

dwarf planet.
Your moons
are inadequate.
They do not see
Athens,
Pumpa Punku,
Bristol.
They have not
been touched
by the soles
of man.
So send
her a kiss-
our Earth’s
moon friend,
and marvel
at her heavenly
body.
She may be yours
someday.
She may
want you

It sometimes seems as though forever has
No meaning. Like a fucking bra with no support,
Or like a soul-less song that’s genred jazz,
Or maybe soldiers guarding empty forts.
And oh, how little sense it makes to me
To hear you say forever, meaning it.
I shut you out, alone as I can be
Because of you I will not recommit.

Refusal to admit you’re incorrect
Shows weakness; why can’t you apologize?
Do you see yet why I can’t connect?
I need you on my side, to sympathize.
But if you think forever is in store,
We have to end this love-inspired war.

it is friday
evening
and i am cold,
alone,
but you
are probably colder,
more alone,
wherever you are.
and i like to picture you
in a big city, where street lights
cast sharp-edged shadows as you move,
with steps that beat in unison
to the city’s breath;
slow, laborious.
i like to picture you
listening to old metallica
as you sip your espresso,
inhaling smog with a grimace your downtrodden face
cannot quite hide,
but the truth is
you probably rest in some obscure country house
and hum to the radio
as you fix your neighbor’s car;
you have the singular ability to take
my expectations
and turn them on their head-
to leave me distraught,
thrown off,
but it is friday
evening,
i am cold and alone,
and part of me hopes you are the same.
